Pancake Palace in North Highlands closed after building fire
NORTH HIGHLANDS, Calif. — A family-run restaurant in North Highlands is assessing the damage after a fire early Friday morning. Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District crews were dispatched to Pancake Palace on Watt Avenue around 1:32 a.m. Fire crews encountered heavy smoke pouring from the building when they arrived, a Sac Metro Fire spokesperson said. The fire was extinguished and no injuries were reported, according to firefighters.
