CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - A cold front moved through the area Sunday and will bring much cooler weather to start out the new work week. A few spotty showers are possible early this morning. High pressure will build in today replacing the cloudy morning start with plenty of sunshine from lunchtime into the afternoon. Highs will only climb into the upper 60s today, about 10° below average for this time of the year. Tonight will likely be our chilliest night until October with temperatures forecast to fall into the 40s for most, a few upper 30s far inland and 50s along the beaches. Temperatures will begin to warm up on Tuesday with highs in the mid 70s, followed by low 80s by Wednesday. Our next rain chances will be small but begin on Thursday.

Judge sentences N. Charleston man found with loaded gun while out on bond for murder
CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - The United States Department of Justice says a 25-year-old man has been sentenced after he pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm by a felon. Da’Shawn Marquis Richards, of North Charleston, will spend a little more than three years in federal prison for having a firearm while being a felon, U.S. Attorney’s Office spokesperson Veronica Hill said in a release.
