District 65 now says financial projection off by $27.35 million, school closure savings less than previously forecasted

Evanston/Skokie School District 65 has revised its financial projections — upping the estimated $17 million error disclosed last week to $27.35 million, according to slides that administrators showed parents Tuesday. The slides also show that the district did not include payments on the lease certificates used to build Foster Elementary School in its financial projections.

Senior center Felix Sanchez often gets the first glance at the Riverside Brookfield High School football team’s potent running attack. “It’s funny. I typically don’t notice it until they’re right beside me, but it’s nice to run up the middle with my boys all of the time,” Sanchez said. “The offensive line’s just doing great and I’m blessed to be a part of it. With this group, we’re always creating big plays, big run plays. I’m loving it.”

With the bus accident during school drop off on Sept. 15 in mind, myself and some other parents have become concerned about the intersection of Woodside, Kimbark and Park during school dropoff and pickup.
