New Michelin stars have risen across Florida.

Why it matters: Chefs and restauranteurs gathered at a flashy ceremony in Tampa on Thursday to celebrate the prestigious honor granted to restaurants in three of the state's foodie destinations.

Driving the news: For Tampa, Scandinavian restaurant Ebbe and Japanese fine dining restaurant Kōsen each earned a star.

    • Miami Shores contemporary restaurant EntreNos and Japanese eateries Ogawa, in Little River, and Shingo, in Coral Gables, each earned one star.

Zoom out: The new stars add to Miami's growing collection. The city won 12 stars last year .

    • This year, Tam Pham was honored with the Young Chef award and secured a Bib Gourmand for his Vietnamese restaurant, Tam Tam.
    • Gabriela Ospina at Boia De was given the Sommelier award.

For Orlando, Natsu, Papa Llama and Victoria & Albert's each earned a star. Camille also got a star and the Service award.

The intrigue: The Green Star, a new award recognizing sustainability, went to Orlando's Kaya and Los Félix and Krüs Kitchen in Miami.

Flashback: Tampa was snubbed from stars when Michelin first rolled into Florida in 2022.

The fine print: Tampa represents the region in Michelin's Florida guide because the city's tourism board paid to be included in Michelin's honors .
