    FLEMINGTON, NJ -- The Hunterdon Central baseball team advanced in the second round of the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Tournament with a 2-1 baseball victory over Voorhees on Saturday.

    Jared Jacobus and Soren Gregor combined on a two-hitter for Hunterdon Central (8-8). Jacobus pitched four innings, allowed one hit, struck out seven and walked one. Gregor pitched three innings, allowed one hit, struck out four and walked one.

    Kaleb McGann had a run batted in and Jesse Allen went 3-for-3 with a run scored for the Red Devils, who scored both of their runs in the third inning.

    Hunterdon Central, the fourth seed, will host fifth-seeded North Hunterdon in the quarterfinal round on Wednesday.
