Gov. Beshear joins Wayland community to celebrate new homes
WAYLAND, Ky. (WYMT) - Governor Andy Beshear joined Appalachia Service Project (ASP) in Wayland Friday to celebrate new homes for 11 families who survived the July 2022 flood. The celebration comes eight months after the announcement of the development of the community- on land formerly owned by the Wayland Volunteer Fire Department- and four months after construction broke ground on the new high-ground community.
