Jasmine Cross scored three passing touchdowns and two on the ground as Fletcher achieved the biggest victory in the school's flag football history Tuesday night, stunning No. 1 seed Fleming Island 33-12 in the Florida High School Athletic Association Region 2-2A second round.

The host Golden Eagles (16-1), state runners-up a year ago, had won 47 of its last 50 games and had not lost to Northeast Florida since a 21-13 loss to Middleburg on April 4, 2022. London Jenkins and Daisy Fletcher scored the touchdowns for Fleming Island.

The Senators (12-3) travel on April 30 to No. 3 seed Pace, which ousted Navarre 21-12.

The season of "firsts" continues for Florida High flag football. After picking up the program's first victories over Lincoln and the school's first district title, the Seminoles (13-1) are heading to the regional final for the first time after blanking No. 3 Middleburg 41-0 in the Region 1-1A semifinal Tuesday night.

Led by senior Rachel White, sophomore Daniella White and seventh-grader Annelise Cardenas, Florida High jumped out to a lead over Middleburg within two minutes of the start of play.

The shutout over Middleburg (9-6) maintained the Seminoles' home shutout streak, its ninth straight and 11th of the season overall, and booked Florida High a date with region top seed Choctawhatchee in the regional final.

REGION 2-1A

Top seed Clay allowed points for only the second time this year, but stayed on course with a 12-7 victory against visiting Stanton (10-5).

The Blue Devils (12-1) have only lost once in 2024, against Fleming Island.

Clay next plays at home April 30 in an all-local matchup with Gateway Conference champion White (16-3), which stretched its winning streak to nine games with a 12-0 win over Paxon. The Golden Eagles close at 13-4.
