Many Michigan residents enjoy spending more time outdoors now that the warmer weather months are finally arriving in the state. With people spending more time outdoors there's less chance of getting sick from being around others who might be ill. But there's one dangerous viral disease that officials warn residents to be aware of as it has recently been confirmed in several Michigan counties.

Wayne County Judge Cited for Bringing Loaded Gun to Detroit Airport Security Checkpoint
In a statement issued by the Wayne County Airport Authority, Judge Cylenthia LaToye Miller, a Wayne County Juvenile Court judge, was cited for attempting to carry a loaded firearm through the Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport security checkpoint. Matt Morawski, a spokesman for the airport, confirmed that Miller was ticketed and released on Saturday after Transportation Security Agency (TSA) agents discovered a .380 Smith & Wesson pistol inside her purse. The incident was initially reported by The Detroit News.
