Flagler Pride Fest Cancelled Amid Turmoil as Organization’s Founder Resigns, Board Frays and Wagons Circle
To the dismay of a following that had grown substantially over the years, what was to be the fifth annual Flagler Pride Fest at Palm Coast’s Central Park in a month was abruptly cancelled last week through a cryptic, short-lived Facebook post that was scarcely cleared up when what remained of the organization’s officials posted a not-entirely accurate statement attempting to explain the decision on Tuesday, and betraying infighting.

Someone is live-streaming himself playing videogames and interacting with viewers, when suddenly police SWAT teams break into the room, guns pointed at the individual. That is how “swatting” began some years ago — a sort of prank or practical joke that today is making its way onto school and college campuses and even targeting politicians.

Flagler Palm Coast Kiwanis Club Honors Law Enforcement on Peace Officers Memorial Day
PALM COAST, Fla. – On May 15th, Peace Officers Memorial Day, Flagler Palm Coast Kiwanis Club held its 18th Annual Law Enforcement Luncheon. Sheriff’s Office Chaplain Scardigno offered a prayer. Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly spoke about lives lost by those in law enforcement, and about the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, D.C.. It honors over 23,000 officers who have died in the line of duty. So far this year, 55 law enforcement officers have died, including one officer and one K-9 in Florida.
