AMR showing improvement in Knox County, but still has room to grow
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Knox County data obtained by WVLT News show that ambulance response times in and around Knoxville are improving, but there’s still room to grow. The latest numbers come as American Medical Response (AMR) is about to enter its seventh month under a new contract. Leading up to that contract renewal, a WVLT News investigation uncovered hundreds of documents, emails and complaints from inside the county showing how dangerous the situation had become.
