Foxwell’s Antiques reportedly closing after 30+ years
EASTON — Foxwell’s Antiques and Collectibles on Route 50 is reportedly closing after serving the Easton community for more than 30 years. Foxwell’s was established in 1990. Originally, it was owned by Ralph Foxwell, who sold the building for $1.5 million in June of 2008. The building occupies 10,000 square feet and features the wares of more than 60 antique and decor vendors from around the tri-state area. Charlie Landrum, who has been the manager at Foxwell’s for 23 years, says he found out “through the grapevine” on Oct. 16 the building had been sold the day before. “I only text with the owner, so I sent her a text and I said, ‘Foxwell’s sold,’ like two words, and she says, ‘how did you know?’” Landrum said. “She wasn’t able to tell us at that point. She was trying to keep it secret so that none of the dealers would leave in case the settlement crashed.” Online property records show Cooks Bridge Commons Professional Pavilion LLC to be the owner of the building. The last recorded property transfer is the 2008 sale. According to Landrum, the current owner is a woman named Jennifer Burch. Burch did not respond to requests
