    VOTE for the North Jersey HS Sports Team of the Week for April 29-May 5

    After another fun week of the spring high school sports season, it's time to look back on the top team performances.

    Read about the teams that stood out last week and let us know who you think should be the North Jersey Team of the Week in the poll at the bottom of this page.

    Voting closes at 4 p.m. Thursday.

    Demarest softball

    The Norsewomen went 3-1 last week, capping the week with a 7-3 win over Hawthorne (13-3) on Saturday., way over last years win total. Demarest now has 10 wins, its most since 2018.

    Fair Lawn softball

    The 14th-seeded Cutters upset No. 3 seed Fair Lawn, 6-1, on Saturday in the second round of the Bergen County Tournament.

    Leonia girls track & field

    The Lions won the NJIC Patriot league meet last week, their first league title since 1991.

    Mahwah girls lacrosse

    The Thunderbirds went 3-0 with a win over Ramsey, a comeback from four goals down to beat Montville, and an upset win over Ramapo in the Bergen County Tournament after losing to the Raiders during the regular season.

    Pascack Hills baseball

    The Broncos went 5-0 last week, including a 6-4 win over Paramus in the Bergen County Tournament after trailing 4-0. They entered this week on a seven-game winning streak.

    St. Mary baseball

    The Gaels went 3-0 last week, outscoring opponents 20-1. They shut out Fair Lawn, 2-0, in the first round of the Bergen County Tournament.

    West Milford boys track & field

    The Highlanders won the Big North Independence league meet last week, their first league title since 2011.

    Westwood boys lacrosse

    The Cardinals went 3-0 last week with overtime wins over Demarest and West Milford. Dan Golden and Luke Biello scored the overtime winners.
