Two Hurt in DeKalb County Wreck on Thursday
Two people were injured in a two-vehicle wreck that occurred in DeKalb County late Thursday Afternoon. According to the Alabama State Troopers Post at Jacksonville – the crash took place at 5:00pm on Alabama Highway 68 and involved two vehicles – a 2013 Chevy 2500 and a 2008 Chevy Silverado. According to the accident report, the male driving the 2500 – was unhurt in the wreck while both the driver and a passenger in the Silverado – two males from Dawson – were injured in the crash. Afterwards – both injured parties were taken to Marshall Medical Center for treatment.

Theft investigation yields recovery of stolen property
JACKSON CO.- The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office has received reports of several burglaries and thefts of stolen property the last two weeks. The stolen property included multiple All-Terrain Vehicles, four wheelers, trailers and high valued tools. Jackson County Sheriff Investigators initiated an investigation to locate and prosecute the person(s) behind these thefts and identified a suspect as Dakota Dale Moore, of Trenton, Alabama.

Scottsboro Police: 5 hurt after car traveling 100+ mph crashes
Multiple people were injured in a late Sunday police chase, according to the Scottsboro Police Department. About 11 p.m. Sunday, officers said they tried to stop a 2015 Nissan Altima traveling at 115 mph westbound on Highway 72. The vehicle then got on Highway 79 and Happiness Drive.
