Copper utility line thefts on the rise in North Richland Hills
NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas — Authorities are seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a series of copper utility line thefts in the area. The North Richland Hills Police Department reports that these thefts, primarily occurring in the early morning hours, have increased in recent weeks. However, the latest incident, captured on video, took place during the evening. Suspects have been using ladders, fences, and vehicle roofs or truck beds to access the lines, employing various saws to cut them. They are also known to move ladders down the road for future use.
