An ex-cop who murdered his ex-wife and teenage lover shot himself as police approached his car after a fast pursuit.

Washington Policehad warned the public not to approach Elias Huizar, 39, during frantic manhunt for the double-killer who cops confirmed had abducted his one-year-old son, and fled the scene, with Mexico a possible destination.

Police were informed of the horror killing spree shortly. before 3:30pm on Monday, where the he killied his ex-wife outside her place of work at William Wiley Elementary School. Officers arrived to his home where they tragically uncovered the body of his murdered girlfriend. The second victim is the mother of the abducted boy, Roman. Huizar was later seen driving near Eugene, Oregon, on Tuesday afternoon and attempted to flee when a trooper tried to pull him over, Oregon State Police Capt. Kyle Kennedy said.

Huizar led police on a 25 miles chase which ended when Huizar’s car collided with another vehicle that was stationary on the interstate highway, Kennedy said. As police approached the vehicle, Huizar shot himself with his one-year-old son, Roman, in the car.

The Tri-City Herald reported that the individual's relationship with the teen girl is one of two child rape charges that he was set to face in court. The man, who is almost 40, was initially arrested on February 3, after his teenage girlfriend accused him of raping her unconscious 16-year-old friend who'd passed out after a heavy night of drinking at his home.

Officials eventually made the decision to release the ex-cop on a $200,000 bond on the condition he refrained from going anywhere near the two girls and stopped consuming alcohol. The murder of his ex-wife took place within mere days of the victim, who was filled with concern regarding her ex-husband's dangerous behaviour, filed to change the custody arrangements of their two children, aged 5 and 9. Following their divorce, Huizar had been harassing her with a weapon. Their custody battle was scheduled to take place on May 14.

Investigators are currently doing all they can to locate a silver 2009 Toyota Corolla with Washington plates CBZ4745.

The dangerous man worked for the local police department from 2014 to 2022. During this time, he secured a role as a cop at Washington Middle School in Yakima.
