A wanted man is behind bars after a Tuesday evening chase in Prestonsburg. The suspect, Thomas Price, was wanted on several violent felonies. The case began when police spotted Price and tried to stop him. He sped up and the chase reached speeds of 110 mph. Eventually, he got away.

Operation Letcher County Recovery 7.0 is scheduled for March 8th and 9th at Fleming Neon Middle School Gym. Organizers here in the tri-county area will again be taking much needed supplies to flood victims who are still in distress 20 months after the flood occurred. Volunteers will be preparing hot meals from 8 am Saturday until they run out of food in the afternoon. Organizer, Garry Conley, said area restaurants, including Smokey Bear’s, Weaver’s, Lee’s and Wings and Rings, have donated food. Conley said they are also recruiting skilled workers to work one day as carpenters, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, dry wall and cleanup. Perry woman charged with child endangerment
A Perry County woman was arrested on various charges after, Kentucky State Police said, she fled from police and resisted arrest while holding her four-year-old child. According to an arrest citation written by Trooper Nathan Roark, on Feb. 7, KSP Post 13 received a call reporting that Jennifer Fugate, 33, of Krypton Lick Branch Road, Krypton, was intoxicated while in charge of her four-year-old child and had active warrants for her arrest.
