Erie SeaWolves manager Gabe Alvarez has always loved sneakers. He likes to buy different pairs based on color and design either to match up with uniforms on the field or because he just appreciates the style.

His love for sneakers started with the Michael Jordan brand and it grew from there.

When Alvarez arrived in Erie last week, he had with him 16 pairs of sneakers to wear this season, and that collection could grow.

Alvarez has a group of sneakers that he's worn during SeaWolves wins and a special pair that he wore at every big playoff win last year during Erie's run to the Eastern League championship.
