Springville Woman Pleads Guilty to Arson in Apartment Blaze
A Springville woman recently pleaded guilty to a Class B felony count of 2nd-degree arson in connection with a January blaze at an apartment building in the village. Erie County District Attorney John Flynn announced this week that 37-year-old Sara Lilley entered her plea to the sole count in the indictment against her on Thursday, September 14th. Lilley, who lived in the Springbook Apartments on North Buffalo Street, intentionally set the fire on January 23rd, causing damage to multiple apartment units. No injuries were reported, but several residents were displaced. Lilley, who continues to be held without bail, faces up to 25 years in state prison. Sentencing is scheduled for November 1st.
