Fire Destroys Trailer In Litchfield
Two cats were killed in a fire in Litchfield on February 25th. The fire occurred at 11:57 PM on the 800 block of South Franklin Street. Montgomery County 9-1-1 received a call saying that the side of a house trailer was on fire. When first responders arrived, a residential trailer with moderate smoke and flames was coming from a window air conditioning unit on the south side of the house.

Madison County Gets New 911 Coordinator
A Wood River native will become the 911 coordinator for Madison County starting March 18. Aaron Weber will replace Dana Burris, set to retire April 1. I recently visited this longtime food and entertainment complex in northwestern Madison County which seems to grow every time I’m there. This compound takes up a whole block in the downtown area of this community. There is a plethora of street parking all around for patrons, including on the street that runs along the front of the establishment.
