Vietnam Veterans Day fundraiser boosts Englewood VFW

ENGLEWOOD — National Vietnam War Veterans Day was a big day for the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10178 in Englewood.

The post held an event March 29 to recognize veterans that also helped raise funds for much-needed repairs for the post’s building at 550 N. McCall Road. The building was severely damaged during Hurricane Ian in September, 2022.

With the help of the EPIC Community Resource Center, the post was able to raise more than $8,000 during the event.

The EPIC Community Resource Center, at 655 N. Indiana Ave., has caseworkers who can help provide advice and solutions for a variety of problems, including help for the homeless. If the case workers can’t help directly, they can find people and organizations that can.
