Kansas City family sues Boys & Girls Clubs over summer camp claims
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A family sued the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Kansas City over claims of abuse that happened at a summer camp the organization provided last year. According to the lawsuit, an 8-year-old boy attended a Boys and Girls Camp in Independence in July 2023. The lawsuit states campers took a field trip to an Independence Middle School to use a swimming pool. While on the field trip, an older child, identified only as A.R., allegedly isolated the younger boy in a bathroom and sodomized him.
Woman, 41, accused in shooting death of man in Velda City
VELDA CITY — A woman has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of a 32-year-old man here on Friday. Lanora Carla Arnold, 41, was charged with first-degree murder in the death of Jordan Armstrong, according to a social media post Saturday from the Pagedale Police Department.

LIBERTY— Police seek the public's help to locate a teen who left her residence in the middle of the night Thursday, June 6. Tionnah Bohonsky, 16, left her residence near the downtown Liberty Square. According to police, it is unknown what she was last wearing, but she is 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighs around 228 pounds.
Liberty North runners to compete in Nike Outdoor Nationals
After leaving their mark in Missouri, a quartet of Liberty North runners will look to leave their mark on a national stage.
