Elmira Heights gas station closes; new owners coming

ELMIRA HEIGHTS, N.Y. ( WETM ) — A popular gas station in Elmira Heights will soon have a new name and owners after the store closed its doors on Wednesday.

Fastrac Cafe off of College Avenue in Elmira Heights closed on Wednesday after a note was posted on the door saying that new ownership would reopen the location soon.

Hornell approves 2024-2025 budgets, tax rate decreases

A worker inside told 18 News that the business was bought out and the new owners are from New York City.

The building is to remain a gas station with the worker saying it will become the Elmira Heights Deli, but no timetable has been set as to when it will reopen.
