Musco expands testing capabilities with new Oskaloosa facility
Oskaloosa-based Musco Lighting has opened a new 30,000-square-foot product testing facility at 601 First Ave. W, expanding its ability to design, test and support lighting solutions. The facility brings testing and certification in-house, providing additional resources to evaluate and improve product performance as lighting and electronics become more complex. The opening coincides with Musco’s 50th anniversary. “This facility helps us continue to develop new solutions for our customers, supports the growth of our team, and demonstrates our long-term commitment to Oskaloosa and the community that has supported Musco for the last five decades,” Musco CEO Jeff Rogers said in a prepared statement. The company is also nearing completion of Community Commons, a new public green space that will host the Oskaloosa Food Park beginning in 2027, along with community movie nights and other events. Once completed, the park will include a recreational turf field, covered picnic area and restrooms.
