BANGOR, Maine — A Penobscot man faces up to 40 years in prison and a $5 million fine after pleading guilty to drug trafficking charges on Wednesday. Matthew Ferreira, 22, of Castine, was turning left from Ledgelawn Avenue onto Mount Desert Street on Monday in a 2006 Toyota Prius when Michael Perlman, 40, of Bar Harbor, on rollerblades, attempted to pass three vehicles stopped in traffic on Mount Desert Street. Ferreira did not see Perlman and the two collided, injuring Perlman. Perlman was taken to the hospital with a broken leg. There are no charges being filed at this time, according to the police log.

Spokesperson Mark Latti of the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife reports to Star 97.7, Marjorie May was last seen Monday afternoon around 3:45 at her home on McCaslin Road. Wardens, K9 units and air support began searching about 8:30 p.m. and worked through the night Monday. They found May alive early Tuesday and assisted her out of the woods, where she was examined by emergency personnel and released into the care of her family.
