MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. — Investigators are turning to a sneaker description to help identify the remains of a body found in Rattlesnake Key over the weekend. The victim was found floating in the water by a boater in the area and was wearing a size 11 men's black and neon green Nike Free Trainer (example pictured below), according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office. They, too, were wearing and a white ankle-high athletic sock.

As we move into the later morning and into the afternoon, the showers and thunderstorms will work their into the Suncoast from north to south. It may take most of the afternoon for the storms to sink far enough south that they clear the area. Some of the storms could be severe with gusty winds and hail a possibility. Isolated tornados and waterspouts cannot be ruled out. Additionally, there is a risk for heavy rain that could lead to minor flooding of poor drainage roadways.
