Man on pre-trial release arrested
WILLIAMSON COUNTY, IL (KBSI) – A man on pre-trial release has been arrested for possession of a stolen gun, possession of drugs, and more. On April 25th, in an unmarked patrol car, Williamson County Sheriff’s Office deputies were at the intersection of 18th Street and Stotlar Street in Herrin. There, they saw a man and a woman exit the sidewalk and walk on the east side of 18th Street just North of Ash Street. They were later identified as James Inchcliff and Chelsea Phillips. Both Inchcliff and Phillips were seen by deputies as they left a home known to law enforcement to be involved in the distribution of illicit drugs.
EF-1 Tornado recorded in southern Illinois Wednesday
CARBONDALE, IL — A preliminary EF-1 tornado was recorded Wednesday from just south of Carbondale to near Crab Orchard Lake in southern Illinois. A survey by the National Weather Service is still ongoing. The suspected EF-1 tornado passes through the area between 3:14 and 3:26 p.m.

Carbondale Police investigate shooting
Carbondale Police are investigating multiple shootings that took place early Thursday evening in the 500-block of South Rawlings Street. Police say they responded to a call about a fight and a shooting a little before 6:30pm Thursday. Officers located two gunshot victims at the scene. Both were taken to a local hospital for treatment. Police say a third gunshot victim arrived at the hospital on their own. Police say they believe that individual is related to the same incident.
