Disturbance calls land two Metropolis men in jail
A pair of disturbance calls last week landed a pair of Metropolis men in jail. One of the calls brought officers to an apartment on Lois Lane. A victim told police that a man had punched her in the eye and slammed her head against a wall. Police located the suspect, 44-year-old Robert H. Bowling of Metropolis. Bowling was charged with domestic battery.
Local Residents Invited to Shape Paducah's Electric Vehicle Future
Paducah Power System is developing an Electric Vehicle (EV) Readiness Plan. The plan aims to prepare for the expected increase in EVs and their charging needs. The utility is asking for community feedback to help shape the plan. The plan will assess the community's needs and challenges with EVs. UK engineering program in Paducah celebrates 25 years with Big Blue Barbecue Gala
PADUCAH — The University of Kentucky's engineering program in Paducah celebrated its 25th anniversary Thursday with a Big Blue Barbecue Gala at the Carson Center. University of Kentucky Dean of Engineering Rudy Buchheit said the program has produced more than 500 engineers, many of whom live in the Paducah area.
