William Timm and Charlie Kreisher, the Pipestone County prisoners en-route to Stillwater, spent last night in the jail at Willmar. It seems that yesterday morning Sheriff Shepherd had to hurry up a little in order to get to the depot on time and he forgot that the commitment papers for the two prisoners were safely locked up in his safe, and the fact did not dawn upon him until long after the train had left here. Then there was nothing to do but send jailor Ed. Shepherd back home after the papers, while the sheriff and the prisoners waited at Willmar.
Fliers sent four to Class A mat meet
SIOUX FALLS – The Flandreau Fliers failed to make the podium brackets at the SDSHAA Class A Championships but gained some valuable experience. Teague Bergjord and Karter Headrick both recorded one win and two losses at the state meet while seniors Julie Pitsenberger and Brayden Wiese both went 0-2.

PAS looks to fill principal vacancy
Just seven months after filling the position, Pipestone Area Schools (PAS) is once again in need of a middle and high school principal. The school board met for a special meeting on Friday, Feb. 23 and voted to approve the resignation of Todd Huisman, who was hired as the middle and high school principal in August. The school board did not discuss the matter during the special meeting and immediately adjourned the meeting after approving the resignation. The meeting lasted approximately one minute.
