ELKHART — A city roadway improvement project starting early Monday morning will use a nonstop construction schedule in hopes of limiting inconvenience to motorists.

The improvement project on Johnson Street between Bristol Street and Beardsley Avenue will be done entirely in-house by the Elkhart Public Works & Utilities Department. The in-house project will save the city about $17 million.
