East Nash Grass, Amanda Cook Band open summer concert series
GALAX, VA — East Nash Grass kicks off the Blue Ridge Music Center’s Deep Roots, Many Voices: Summer Outdoor Concert Series at 7 p.m., Saturday, May 25, in the venue’s outdoor amphitheater on the Blue Ridge Parkway just south of Galax. Carroll approves county, school board budget
Carroll County citizens will see no tax increase this fiscal year as the Carroll County Board of Supervisors approved its FY2025 budget as well as the Carroll County School Board’s budget on May 6. After passing both budgets, Carroll supervisors were able to keep all local tax rates the same as the previous year — 59 cents per $100 of real estate valuation, $2.30 per $100 of personal property valuation, $2 machine and tools tax, and 69 cents merchants capital tax. ...
