New Jersey authorities investigating 2020 death of former Connecticut woman

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Authorities in New Jersey are asking for the public’s help as they investigate the 2020 homicide of a 23-year-old woman from Middletown, Connecticut.

Jasmin Featherstone was found dead on June 11, 2020, along the railroad tracks in the 300 block of Port Avenue in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Her death was ruled a homicide, according to the prosecutor’s office.

Through DNA testing, investigators were able to identify Featherstone in 2023.

Authorities said Featherstone, who lived in Elizabeth, New Jersey, previously resided in Middletown, Connecticut.

Information can be submitted anonymously to the Union County Crime Stoppers by phone at 908-654-TIPS (8477) or online at www.uctip.org .

Union County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information that leads to the conviction of those responsible for Featherstone’s death.
