Artspace Lima hosts class on historic broadside poetry
LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - A class was held on a not-so-known poetry type in Lima. Held at the Artspace in Lima, adults were given the opportunity to learn more about the artistic side of history. The lecture, taught by poet Laurin Wolf, was about broadside poems, a type of poetry that is one sided and contains another aspect of media with it. The students of the adult class were able to bring their favorite poem, or one they wrote themselves, and create their own broadside.

On Sunday, March. 1, BG’s [Bowling Green] Frosty Fare hosted their seasonal opening at the store located on W Poe Road from 12 to 9 p.m. They offered a flavor lineup including peanut butter yogurt, orange fruit freeze, and chocolate and vanilla soft serve. They also brought out their hard dip flavors, including the new addition of the Dubai chocolate dip. Now with the seasonal opening completed, they will be scooping all summer season, and with it have come some new changes to the store.

As a seventh grader, Aubrey Noffsinger is no stranger to the stage. Her earlier productions include Tarzan, Godspell, Eclipse, Shrek Jr., Aladdin Jr., Finding Nemo Jr., and Madasgar. The daughter of Darren and Miranda Noffsinger, Aubrey is also involved in 4-H, her church’s youth group, quiz bowl, and cheer.
