AURORA, N.Y. — An Aurora man is under arrest following an investigation that revealed he was allegedly engaging in inappropriate communication with a teenage girl. The Cayuga County Sheriff's Office reports that 34-year-old Thomas Cooper allegedly communicated electronically with an individual he believed to be a 14-year-old girl over the course of three months, making sexual requests and sending nude photographs.

Syracuse, N.Y. — A man was arrested Wednesday for shooting a 22-year-old in the Huntley Apartments in December in the Strathmore neighborhood in Syracuse, police said. At 7:51 a.m. on Dec. 13, a 911 caller reported someone had been shot in the leg in the basement at The Huntley at 409 Stolp Ave. in Syracuse, according to dispatches from the Onondaga County 911 Center.
