    EPISD wants community’s input on district’s programs and facilities

    EL PASO, Texas ( KTSM ) — The El Paso Independent School District (EPISD) is collaborating with Destination District Redesign (DDR) to revise the district’s resources.

    According to the news release from EPISD, the DDR initiative is to ensure that every child in the district is receiving a high-quality education.

    The redesign will evaluate programs, resources and facilities throughout the district to make sure all items are used efficiently to help students thrive, according to EPISD.

    For the month of May, EPISD will be holding meetings throughout the district and is asking parents, teachers, students and the community for input on redesigning.

    DDR will have three phases and in late Fall 2024, EPISD will present the recommended changes to the Board of Trustees. If approved, the district will input the changes effective for the 2025-2026 school year.

    Here is the schedule for the following meetings all scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m. :

    • Wednesday, May 1 at Burges High School, 7800 Edgemere Boulevard
    • Monday, May 6 at Chapin High School, 7000 Dyer Street
    • Tuesday, May 7 at El Paso High School, 800 East Schuster Avenue
    • Wednesday, May 8 at Irvin High School, 5400 Sanders Avenue
    • Thursday, May 9 at Bowie High School, 801 South San Marcial Street
    • Monday, May 13 at Jefferson High School, 4700 Alameda Avenue
    • Tuesday, May 14 at Franklin High School, 900 Resler Drive
    • Wednesday, May 15 at Coronado High School, 100 Champions Place
    • Thursday, May 16 at Andress High School, 5400 Sun Valley Drive
    • Monday, May 20 at Austin High School, 3500 Memphis Avenue
