    Search continues for missing man after possible blood stains found at home in east Alabama

    FRANKLIN, Ala. ( WRBL ) – Law enforcement agencies in East Alabama are intensifying their efforts to locate 60-year-old Michael Thompson, who was last seen on April 14th.

    Thompson was last seen leaving a family gathering in Eclectic, Alabama, driving his Red 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee with Alabama license plates. The vehicle was later discovered in Macon County, near the area where the search is currently concentrated.

    His disappearance raised alarm among investigators after possible blood stains were discovered inside his Tallassee home.

    The search, which has now extended to Macon County, involves a coordinated effort by multiple agencies, including the Macon County Sheriff’s Office. An ALEA helicopter has been deployed over Macon County, focusing on areas near County Road 27 and 36, while search teams, aided by dogs, continue the efforts on the ground,

    Despite extensive efforts, Thompson has yet to be found.

    Individuals with any information regarding Thompson’s whereabouts are urged to contact the Macon County Sheriff’s Office or call 911. Tipsters can remain anonymous, and any information, no matter how small, could prove crucial in locating Thompson and bringing him safely home.
