    Pa. State Police in Somerset and Cambria Counties to hold car seat safety events

    EBENSBURG, Pa. (WTAJ) – Two free car seat safety inspection events hosted by Pennsylvania State Police will be happening in Somerset and Cambria Counties later in May.

    Troop A announced that it will hold child passenger safety seat checks in Somerset and Ebensburg. Members of the public are invited to bring their child safety seat in their vehicle to the event and troopers will help make sure the seat has been properly installed to ensure the safety of children riding in the seat.

    The Somerset event will take place Tuesday, May 14 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Sipesville Fire Company on Schoolhouse Road in Sipesville. The Ebensburg event will take place Tuesday, May 21 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Jackson Township Fire Department on Adams Avenue in Mineral Point.

    Troop A will also be holding similar events in Westmoreland and Indiana Counties.
