OakLeaf opening four new clinics

2024-03-28

EAU CLAIRE (WKBT) -- Four new clinics are coming to the Chippewa Valley.

OakLeaf Medical Network announced Thursday they plan to open new clinics in Cornell, Ladysmith, Menomonie and Rice Lake.

Three of the locations are former Prevea clinics.

In addition to the new clinics, OakLeaf will hire two additional physicians-- Steve Steinmetz M.D., who will join the Family Medicine practice at OakLeaf Clinics Chippewa Falls, and Victoria Vande Zande, M.D., who will join the Internal Medicine practice in Eau Claire.

"Local access to high-quality healthcare is critical for communities to thrive," said Chris Longbella, M.D. President of OakLeaf Clinics. "We moved quickly to fill the healthcare needs in these communities with talented providers with deep connections to their communities and help ensure a seamless continuity of care for patients no longer able to access the HSHS/Prevea system."

The new clinics are expected to open between May 1 and 13.
