New state softball poll: 2 new Section III teams climb into rankings with playoffs underway
Syracuse, N.Y. — The New York State Sportswriters Association released its latest softball state rankings on Tuesday. In total, 17 Section III teams were featured in this week’s state rankings. Six of those teams — Camden (No. 7 in Class A), Marcellus (No. 8 in Class B), Sandy Creek (No. 4 in Class C), Oriskany (No. 6 in Class D), Stockbridge Valley (No. 8 in Class D) and Cincinnatus (No. 9 in Class D) — were ranked in the top 10 of their respective classes.
