Rack for kayak, canoe and paddleboard storage available at South Jamesport Beach
Riverhead residents will soon be able to rent space to store their kayaks, paddleboards and small sailboat hulls at South Jamesport Beach during this year’s boating season. Rack space will be granted on a first come, first serve basis this year, and applications will launch soon, according to Recreation Superintendent Ray Coyne. Residents and taxpayers will be able to rent one of 12 rack spaces at the beach for $150; the rental will last from May 25 to Oct. 15.
