Southington man convicted of killing stepfather dies in prison
A former Southington man who was serving thirty years to life in prison for murdering his stepfather and wounding his mother has died from an apparent suicide. An official with the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections tells 21 News that 39-year-old Thomas Starr died on Thursday at the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility.
Appeal denied for Youngstown man convicted in murder of Warren man
The appeal of a Youngstown man convicted of the murder of a man during a home invasion in Warren back in 2023 has been denied. According to the Trumbull County Prosecutor's Office, the appeal for 27-year-old Ronique Requel has been denied by the Ohio 11th District Court of Appeals on Monday.

A Vienna man serving prison time for strangling a woman as she held a child was back in court again Tuesday to answer a perjury charge. Thirty-one-year-old Kotey Paden was sentenced last month to two years in prison after pleading guilty to charges of strangulation, domestic violence, and child endangerment.
