EAST HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — A 33-year-old man is in custody after allegedly shooting at a driver in East Hartford over an electric vehicle charger.

Christon Jackson shot at the victim on Jan. 20 in the rear lot of the Bank of America branch on Main Street, according to police. The victim was not injured.

Thinking that he’d been signaled, the victim pulled into an EV charging port station, according to police. That’s when there was “confusion” with Jackson, according to police, and shots were fired.

He’s been charged with first-degree criminal attempt assault, first-degree reckless endangerment, unlawful discharge of a firearm, criminal possession of a firearm and third-degree criminal mischief. He was given a $100,000 bond.
