Fire destroys vehicle outside business on Lakeview Avenue in Dracut

DRACUT — On Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2026, at approximately 10:00 a.m., Dracut firefighters responded to a report of a fire near a business in the 2000 block of Lakeview Avenue. According to the Dracut Fire Chief Michael Cunha, when firefighters arrived on scene, they located a vehicle fully engulfed in flames in the parking lot, about 20 feet from the building.

A 26-year-old Mont Vernon man is being held without bail after Hudson police say he fired a handgun into a residence on Colson Road where his ex-girlfriend was present, sending a bullet through the exterior wall and into the home on Halloween night. Conn. man found guilty of second-degree manslaughter in connection with death of teen girlfriend

A jury has found 21-year-old Cooper Ouellette guilty of second-degree manslaughter and providing alcohol to a minor in connection with the death of his girlfriend in 2023. Ouellette, who was 19 at the time and is now 21, was accused of running over 17-year-old Sophie Ringquist, of Burlington, dragging her, dropping her off at her home, and failing to call 911 after she was injured, according to the arrest warrant.
