IHSA track and field season nears the finish line

May has arrived, meaning the finale of the track and field season is here.

Dunlap won the Mid-Illini Conference Championship girls meet on Wednesday, continuing its dominance. The Eagles will join Washington, Richwoods and Peoria High at the Class 3A Minooka Sectional next Wednesday.

Girls sectionals are being held Wednesday, May 8 and Thursday, May 9 with the state meet being held at Eastern Illinois on May 16-18.

Boys conference meets are next week — the Mid-Illini is on Tuesday, while the Big 12 meet is on Wednesday. Sectionals are the following week on May 15-16.
