Memorial ride, fundraiser to be held in honor of fallen state trooper

After $55,000 worth of maintenance work, Harrisburg officials announced the Jackson Lick pool will be open for the summer season starting this week. An 88-year-old man died soon after a crash at the end of May on a Dickinson Township road, Pennsylvania State Police said. Charles R. Man Shot And Killed By Harrisburg PD Identified
(Harrisburg, PA) -- The identity is now known of the man killed in an exchange of gunfire with Harrisburg police last weekend. Authorities say 22-year-old Kendrell Hall was fatally shot after he allegedly fired at officers during a chase. A K-9 officer suffered a graze wound in the shooting, but is now ok. The incident remains under investigation.

Officials said a person was found floating "danger close" to the Dock Street Dam and had to be pulled out of the water. The Harrisburg Bureau of Fire says the dam can be dangerous at certain river levels and has claimed the lives of several people. It is unknown if the person rescued needed medical treatment.
