Convoy of Hope offers tornado assistance in Baxter County, Ark.; Red Cross opens shelter in Marion County, Ark.
MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. (KY3) - Springfield’s Convoy of Hope and the Red Cross are assisting victims of Sunday’s tornadoes in the Mountain Home area. A round of intense storms hit the area Sunday morning. Storms killed five people in Boone, Marion, and Baxter Counties. The storm damaged several homes, power poles, and trees.
Panthers dominate the district
The Forsyth Panthers and Lady Panthers have wrapped up another busy year packed with athletic achievements and tournament trophies. The Forsyth Panther Baseball pounced on their competition all season to compete in the District Championship where they faced off against the Fair Grove Eagles. The Panthers defeated Fair Grove 7-1 to secure the District Championship and advance to State Tournaments. Leading the Panthers to victory was Tristan Hunter who had an impressive 17 strikeouts in 6.1 innings of work.
