DUBOIS, Pa. (WTAJ) — DuBois police said they were called for a knife attack only for the man accused to claim he was sitting in his apartment reading the bible.

The suspect, 31-year-old Henry Fuller, of DuBois, was accused of chasing two men with a knife after he was heard arguing with a woman in his apartment around 9 p.m. Monday. The alleged yelling prompted a neighbor to call 9-1-1.

When police arrived at the scene on W. Long Avenue, they found a woman crying hysterically and a man with a knife on the sidewalk, according to charges filed. The man handed over the knife and explained the knife came from Fuller.

Another witness told police that he was walking with the first man and they heard Fuller yelling from an apartment balcony. By the man’s account, they went to see what was going on and Fuller allegedly tried to attack the man with a knife. When trying to grab the knife, he suffered a laceration to his hand. Fuller then began to chase him with the knife, the complaint reads.

When speaking with Fuller, police said he told them he was in his apartment reading the bible when he heard his significant other screaming from another apartment, claiming he heard someone say they would do sexual stuff with her, police said in charges filed. According to Fuller’s account, it was one of the two men who had the knife and he was able to take it from him. He said he chased the man and gave the knife to his significant other.
