WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - A woman was taken into custody Monday morning after a nearly seven-hour standoff in Winfield. Winfield police officers responded at 12:45 a.m. to the report of a gunshot at a home in the 700 block of East 13th Avenue, and were told when they got there that a woman had threatened to shoot them if they didn’t leave.
