Extracurricular activities and honors: He played on two WPIAL and PIAA Class 3A champion football teams and four years on the baseball team. He was a team captain in football and baseball. He was an all-conference and all-state defensive back and conference Defensive Player of the Year. He is a member of the Spanish National Honor Society, Science National Honor Society and Social Studies National Honor Society. He was a volunteer member of The Bag Brigade and the Interact and PE Clubs.

The North Allegheny boys and girls will try to repeat as WPIAL champions when the track and field team playoffs start Tuesday. The Tigers swept the WPIAL Class 3A titles a year ago, while the Quaker Valley girls and Greensburg Central Catholic boys will try to repeat as 2A champions.
Longtime teacher, athletic director Tom Evans named 2024 Ferrante Award winner
Tom Evans retired as a teacher and athletic director from the Yough School District in 2020. But he really hasn’t stepped away completely from the high school sports scene. SUSQUEHANNA, PA – Penn Can kicked off its 2024 season with the traditional Can Opener Friday night. Brian Puckett and Nick Petrilak brought the Erik Hines Trucking Modifieds to the green in the 30 lap main event. Puckett sprinted away as Alex Stanton worked the low side of the speedway to grab second. 19 WPIAL players picked for 2024 all-state girls basketball team
A month after winning a PIAA title, Blackhawk teammates Alena Fusetti and Aubree Hupp were among 19 WPIAL girls basketball players to earn all-state honors Friday. Blackhawk coach Greg Huston, who guided the Cougars to a 27-3 record in his first season, was voted as the state coach of the year in Class 4A.
Gateway baseball coach, players remain positive after narrow losses
