Calm weather continues through end of weekend!

SAGINAW, Mich. (WNEM) - Mostly cloudy and mild conditions will keep mid-Michigan comfortable through the remainder of the weekend and into the start of the work week. But a big change is on the way. An unseasonably warm stretch will peak near 70 degrees by Tuesday, about 15 to 20 degrees warmer than typical for early November, before a weather system moves in and brings our next best chance for widespread, soaking rainfall from Tuesday night through Wednesday.

WEST MICHIGAN — The forecast from Weather Ready Meteorologist Gracyn Freund: You'll need the jackets for any outdoor evening plans as temperatures slide through the 50s and into the 40s. Overnight we drop to the low to middle 40s under mostly cloudy skies. The Halloween forecast is trending mostly dry... a few isolated showers will be possible mainly south of Grand Rapids, but with a layer of dry air here at the surface, most of the rain may not even make it to the ground. It will be a cooler day with highs in the upper 50s to around 60, and you'll definitely want a jacket around trick-or-treating time. Don't forget that Daylight Saving Time comes to an end Saturday night when we will turn the clocks back one hour at 2 a.m., giving us an extra hour of sleep/Halloween fun! It will be a warm start to November with highs in the mid 60s on Sunday with decreasing cloud cover. Temperatures will remain unseasonably warm through much of next week staying in the 60s. The middle of the week is looking active as our next system moves in, bringing scattered shower chances between Tuesday and Thursday. Stay tuned for more details as we work out the exact timing.
