Ocean County Woman Accused Of Stealing $100K From Local Business
STAFFORD – A Forked River woman was charged with stealing over $100,000 from a local construction company’s business account, police said. Police received a report of the theft on February 27 from the victim, Macko Construction. Authorities later arrested 50-year-old Dawn Sanzari of Forked River for the crime on March 25.
Christ Community Baptist holds Easter egg hunt
Dozens of community families gathered at Paintsville Lake State Park on Saturday, March 23 to take part in the Christ Community Baptist Church Easter egg hunt, which included free food and the giveaway of two scooters in addition to the contents of the eggs. According to Pastors Alex Garner and Seth Daniels, Christ Community Baptist Church believes it is important to reach out to the community and give back through events such as these as they operate as a “church plant” originating from Lakeville Baptist Church in Salyersville and currently hold services at Prestonsburg High School while working toward finding a building to host their congregation permanently. Man arrested in fatal hit-skip crash involving former Martin County resident
AKRON, Ohio — U.S. Marshals arrested a man last week wanted in connection with a hit-skip crash that killed a former Martin County resident last month in Akron, Ohio. David Allen Farren, 23, of Akron, is behind bars on charges of aggravated vehicular homicide and hit skip in connection with the death of 47-year-old Jimmy “Rocky” Fletcher of Akron.

Martin County High School track team showcased impressive performances at their first meet March 19 at Prestonsburg High School. Freshman standout Faith Caldwell won the 1600-meter race, clinching first place with a time of 6 minutes, 53 seconds. Sophomore Gavin Stepp secured a third-place finish in the same event, clocking in at 6 minutes flat.
